Elizabeth Taylor鈥檚 love affair with jewellery is legendary. To share in her love of all things jewellery, here are just some of the most dazzling pieces from the late actress鈥檚 lavish jewellery collection.

The Elizabeth Taylor Diamond

Formerly known as the Krupp Diamond, Taylor said her 33 carat, D colour, potentially internally flawless, asscher cut diamond ring was her favourite piece of jewellery. The actress wore it almost every day after receiving it in May 1968 from her then husband, Richard Burton, making it one of her most iconic jewellery pieces.

The Taylor-Burton Diamond

Regarded as the world鈥檚 first million dollar diamond, the Taylor-Burton Diamond was one of Taylor鈥檚 most famous gems. The 69.42 carat diamond was originally set in a ring, however, because of its immense size, Taylor had it set by Cartier into a necklace.

Bvlgari Sapphire Necklace

Taylor鈥檚 famous Bvlgari sapphire and diamond necklace was a long platinum necklace with bold geometric designs mounted with a stunning Burmese cabochon sapphire. Taylor received the necklace as a gift from Richard Burton for her 40th birthday in 1972.

Bvlgari Emerald Suite

Taylor鈥檚 Bvlgari Emerald Suite was bought from a designer jewellery store on the Via Condotti in Rome while filming Cleopatra. The stunning emerald suite, which included a necklace, earrings, a ring and bracelet, was one of Taylor鈥檚 favourite jewellery sets.

La Peregrina Pearl

The La Peregrina Pearl is one of the most famous pearls in the world, owned by European kings and queens. Elizabeth Taylor was given the pearl by Burton in 1969 and she commissioned Cartier to redesign the necklace, setting it with pearls, diamonds and rubies.
